Text
Except as otherwise provided in this chapter the value of the property lost, damaged or destroyed shall be charged against the person at fault. Such person shall pay upon demand the value of such property to the Treasurer of the State of New Jersey or the Treasurer of the United States as may be determined by the evidence furnished. L.1963, c. 109.
