Text

(A)Each individual who applies to take the required barber examination to qualify for licensure as a barber shall demonstrate that the individual meets all of the following:
(1)Is at least sixteen years of age;
(2)Has an eighth grade education or an equivalent education as determined by the department of education and workforce, or equivalent organization in the state where the applicant resides;
(3)Has submitted a written application on a form furnished by the board that contains all of the following:
(a)The name of the individual and any other identifying information required by the board;
(b)A photocopy of the individual's current driver's license or other proof of legal residence;
(c)An oath verifying that the information in the application is true.
