* § 1640-h. Residential parking system in the city of Peekskill. 1.\nNotwithstanding the provisions of any law to the contrary, the common\ncouncil of the city of Peekskill may, by adoption of a local law or\nordinance, provide for a residential parking permit system and fix and\nrequire the payment of fees applicable to parking within the area in\nwhich such parking system is in effect in accordance with the provisions\nof this section.\n 2. Such residential parking permit system may only be established\nwithin the area of the city generally bounded on the north and west\nsides by South Street, on the south side by Bay Street and on the east\nside by Smith Street and any and all streets and roads within that area\nincluding but not limited to those portions of Grove Street, Hudson\nAve
