Text
(a)It is unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to erect or cause to be erected or maintained on or within one hundred yards (100 yds.) of the right-of-way of any state highway any sign or billboard that has printed, painted, or otherwise placed on the sign or billboard words or figures:
(1)Calculated to cause the traveling public of this state or tourists from other states to abandon the state highway and travel any public road to any town, city, or destination in this state unless the sign or billboard is erected and maintained by and with the consent and approval of the State Highway Commission; or (2) That give to the traveling public any false or misleading information pertaining to the highways of this state.
