§ 33-39-105 — Powers of the board; rulemaking authority

(a)The board shall:
(i)Define by regulation each category of certified
real estate appraiser, the type of educational experience,
appraisal experience and equivalent experience that will meet
the statutory requirements of this act;
(ii)Establish examination specifications for each
category of certified real estate appraiser and provide or
procure appropriate examinations;
(iii)Approve or disapprove applications for
certification and issue permits to practice;
(iv)Define by regulation continuing education
requirements for the renewal of permits;
(v)Impose an administrative fine not to exceed two
thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500.00) for each separate
offense, censure the permittee, place the permittee on probation
and set the terms of probation, suspend or revoke any permit as
