§ 251-z-9. Rules and regulations. The commissioner is hereby\nauthorized, after public hearing, to adopt, amend, promulgate and issue\nrules and regulations, including, but not limited to regulations\nprescribing good manufacturing practices and requiring records relating\nto processing data and food distribution patterns, food safety education\nprograms and requirements, and such other regulations as he or she may\ndeem necessary to supplement and give full force and effect to the\nprovisions of this article. A proposal to adopt applicable federal\nregulations pursuant to the federal food, drug and cosmetic act,\nrelating to commercially processed foods for human consumption may be\nadopted without public hearing.\n
