Said board, when so appointed, shall be designated and known as the "State Board of Professional Planners." All persons appointed to the board shall be citizens of the United States and residents of the State of New Jersey. Appointees shall have at least 5 years active experience in professional planning, shall be of good standing in the planning profession, and shall be licensed under the provisions of this act. The Governor may remove any member of the board after hearing, for misconduct, incompetence, neglect of duty, or any other sufficient cause. The members of the board shall receive no compensation for their services, but may be reimbursed for all necessary expenses, incidental to their duties as members of the board, incurred in carrying out the provisions of this act.
