§ 45:14A-14 — License fees; expiration and renewal of certificates; unlicensed practice

The yearly license fee for professional planners shall be $100.00. License certificates shall expire on May 30 following issuance, renewal or reinstatement, and shall become invalid on that day unless renewed. Licensees shall apply for renewal on or before May 30 of each year. It shall be the duty of the secretary-director of the board to notify all persons licensed under this act of the date of the expiration of their certificates and the amount of the fee that shall be required for their renewal for 1 year; such notice shall be mailed to each licensee at his last post-office address known to the board at least 1 month in advance of the date of expiration of the license. Renewal of any certificate issued under this chapter may be effected at any time during the month of May by the payment of the fee of $100.00. The failure on the part of the licensee to renew his license annually in the month of May as required shall not deprive such person of the right of renewal during the ensuing year, but the fee to be paid if the license be renewed in any month during the license year subsequent to May shall be $110.00 instead of $100.00 and, if the license be not renewed within a year after its expiration, the licensee shall pay a reinstatement fee of $110.00 plus $10.00 for each year in which the licensee is in arrears. One notice to the licensee, by mail, on or before May 15, addressed to his last post-office address known to the board, informing him of his failure to have applied for a renewal of his license certificate, shall constitute legal notification of such delinquency by the board. Continuing to practice as a "professional planner" after the expiration of his license shall render the person so doing liable to all the penalties prescribed for practicing without a license certificate.
