§ 37-5-514 — Violations of licensing regulations - Probation, suspension, denial and revocation of licenses - Appeal procedures

(a)If any complaint is made to the department concerning any alleged violation of the laws or regulations governing a child care agency, the department shall investigate such complaint and shall take such action as it deems necessary to protect the children in the care of such agency.
(b)(1) If, during the licensing period, the department determines that a child care agency is not in compliance with the laws or regulations governing its operation, and if, after reasonable written notice to the agency of the violation, the department determines that the violation remains uncorrected, the department may place the licensed agency on probation for a definite period of not less than thirty (30) days nor more than sixty (60) days, as determined by the department, and the department shall requi
