Text

No life insurance company organized by act of congress, or under the laws of any other state of the United States, shall transact any business of insurance defined in section3911.01of the Revised Code, on the capital stock or mutual plan, in this state, until it procures from the superintendent of insurance a certificate of authority to do so. No person, directly or indirectly, shall act as agent in this state for such a company, either in procuring applications for insurance, taking risks, or in any manner transacting the business of insurance, until such person procures from the superintendent a license to do so, in which it shall be stated by the superintendent that the company has complied with all the laws of this state applicable to it.
