§ 2021 — Payment of fines, disposition thereof and related matters

* § 2021. Payment of fines, disposition thereof and related matters.\n 1. A fine imposed and paid before commitment, must be received by the\ncourt, and unless otherwise provided by law, shall be the property of\nthe town in which the offense was committed if the fine was imposed by a\ntown court. If, however, the fine was imposed by a village court for an\noffense committed in a village, then, unless otherwise provided by law,\nthe fine shall be the property of the village in which the offense was\ncommitted. All such fines shall be paid to the state comptroller by the\ncourt on or before the tenth day of the month next succeeding their\ncollection.
