§ 3-0107 — Organization of department; officers and employees

§ 3-0107. Organization of department; officers and employees.\n 1. Notwithstanding any inconsistent provision of law the commissioner\nmay, from time to time, create, abolish, transfer and consolidate\ndivisions, bureaus, field offices and other units within the department,\nincluding those transferred to the department by chapter 140 of the laws\nof 1970, as he may determine necessary for the efficient operation of\nthe department, subject to the approval of the Director of the Budget.\n 2. The commissioner may appoint such deputies, directors, assistants\nand other officers and employees as may be needed for the performance of\nhis duties and may prescribe their powers and duties and fix their\ncompensation within the amounts appropriated therefor, subject to the\napproval of the Direc
