§ 7.13. Eligibility requirements for admission.

1.All applicants for\nadmission must be residents of the state.\n 2. All applicants for admission must demonstrate to the satisfaction\nof the commissioner of education that such applicant:\n (a) Intends to pursue a professional career in some branch of the arts\nas described in section 7.09 of this article;\n (b) Possesses unique and distinctive skills, qualifications and\ntalents in the visual and performing arts or such other areas related to\nthe arts as described in section 7.09 of this article.\n 3. All applicants for admission shall be selected on the basis of open\ncompetition to determine their demonstrated and/or potential ability and\nperformance capabilities.\n
