Text
The portions of the surfaces of any streets, including pavements, disturbed in laying the pipes, shall be immediately restored to their original condition and so maintained for six months after the completion of the work. If the owner of the pipes shall fail so to restore and maintain the streets, the officer having supervision of the streets may do so, and the cost thereof may be recovered by the city from such owner in any court of competent jurisdiction.
