18A:8-22. Upon the creation of the new district, title to all school grounds and buildings and the furnishings and equipment thereof situate therein shall vest in the board of education of that district, and such board shall thereupon assume such amount of the indebtedness of the original school district as shall have been determined upon by the Commissioner of Education and shall pay to the board of the remaining district, at least five days before the same shall become due, the amount of the principal and interest of the indebtedness so assumed, and said principal and interest shall be paid by the board of the remaining district as and when the same becomes due and payable. amended 2015, c.95, s.3.
