In the 1978-79 school year and each year thereafter, aid pursuant to this act shall be payable in equal amounts beginning on the first day of September and on the first day of each month during the remainder of the school year. If a local board of education requires funds prior to the first payment, the board shall file a written request with the commissioner stating the need for the funds. The commissioner shall review each request and forward the requests for which need has been demonstrated to the appropriate officials for payment. L.1977, c. 192, s. 16, eff. Aug. 25, 1977.
