Text
The commissioner of transportation is authorized to make initial selection within the state of the routes of the national system of interstate highways and to take joint action with the state highway departments of the adjoining states to select the routes of such system, as provided in the Federal Highway Act of November 9, 1921, and the Federal-Aid Highway Act of 1944.
