§ 25-9-282 — First Aid Equipment; Training of Personnel in First Aid Methods

(a)At or near every pit there shall be adequate approved first aid materials as follows: One stretcher and one broken-back board, or, if a splint stretcher combination is used, it will satisfy both the stretcher and broken-back board requirement; 24 triangular bandages (15, if a splint-stretcher combination is used); eight four-inch bandage compresses; an adequate approved burn remedy; two cloth blankets; one rubber blanket or equivalent substitute; two tourniquets; one one-ounce bottle of aromatic spirits of ammonia and one dozen ammonia ampules; and necessary complements of arm and leg splints or two each inflatable plastic arm and leg splints.
