§ 25-13-4 — License Required

(a)No person shall erect, construct, alter, replace, maintain, remove, or dismantle any conveyance contained within buildings or structures in the jurisdiction of this state unless an elevator mechanic license has been issued, as described herein, and the person is working under the direct supervision of a sole proprietor, firm, or corporation who is a licensed elevator contractor pursuant to this chapter. No person shall wire any conveyance, from the mainline feeder terminals on the controller, in the jurisdiction of this state, unless an elevator mechanic license has been issued as described herein and the person is working under the direct supervision of a sole proprietor, firm, or corporation who is a licensed elevator contractor pursuant to this chapter.
