§ 25-12-3 — Board of Boilers and Pressure Vessels

Alabama·Title 25 Industrial Relations and Labor·Ch. 12 The Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety Act
There is created within the Department of Labor a Board of Boilers and Pressure Vessels, which shall be referred to in this chapter as the board. The board shall consist of nine members, the majority of whom shall have experience in design, construction, inspection, repair, or operation of boilers or pressure vessels. Eight of these members shall be citizens of this state and appointed by the Secretary of Labor, two for a term of one year, two for a term of two years, two for a term of three years, and two for a term of four years. The membership of the board shall be inclusive and reflect the racial, gender, geographic, urban/rural, and economic diversity of the state.
