§ 9-912 Propositions--submission and special election.
1.The board of\ntrustees may, upon its own motion, and shall, upon the petition of at\nleast two hundred electors in villages containing a population of five\nthousand or more; by at least one hundred fifty electors in villages\ncontaining a population of at least three thousand and less than five\nthousand; and by at least one hundred electors in villages containing a\npopulation of one thousand and less than three thousand; and in villages\ncontaining a population of less than one thousand, by electors numbering\nat least ten percent of the number of voters registered for the last\ngeneral village election, cause a proposition on any of the questions\nset forth in the following subdivision to be submitted at a regular or\nspecial
