§ 9-906 Reconsideration of act or resolution upon submission to\nreferendum. At any time after the adoption of an act or resolution and\nnot later than fifteen days prior to the election, the board of trustees\nof the village may reconsider its action thereon and if upon such\nreconsideration the said act or resolution is repealed, the proposition\nfor its approval shall not be submitted at such election or if\nsubmitted, the vote of the electors thereon shall be without effect.\n
