  § 267. Terms occurring in laws, contracts and other documents.\nWhenever the superintendent of public works or the department of public\nworks is referred to or designated in any law, contract or document\npertaining to the functions, powers, obligations and duties hereby\ntransferred and assigned, such reference or designation shall be deemed\nto refer to the commissioner of transportation or the department of\ntransportation, respectively.\n
