§ 261. Transfer of functions. All of the functions and powers\npossessed by and all the obligations and duties of the department of\npublic works and the superintendent of public works, except those\npertaining to the construction of public buildings, and flood control\nand shore line and beach erosion control, transferred to the office of\ngeneral services in the executive department and the conservation\ndepartment, respectively, are hereby transferred and assigned to,\nassumed by and developed upon the department of transportation.\n
