§ 59-k. Proceedings. Whenever the United Nations is desirous of\nacquiring land by purchase for any of its purposes, the\nsecretary-general of the United Nations, or other representative\ndesignated by him, may apply for any relief permitted by the laws of the\nstate of New York that may be necessary for the purpose of acquiring\nsuch land, to any court of the state having jurisdiction within the\ncounty in which the land is located. All deeds, conveyances and other\npapers relating to the title of lands within the state acquired by the\nUnited Nations pursuant to the provisions of this article, or other\ngeneral or special law, federal, state or local, shall be filed and\nrecorded in the office of the register, if any, or if not in the office\nof the county clerk of the county where th
