§ 156. Appointment of special deputy clerks for the supreme court in\nQueens county. The justices of the supreme court residing in the county\nof Queens, or a majority of them, shall appoint and at pleasure remove a\nspecial deputy to the county clerk of the county of Queens for each part\nor term of the supreme court, and may appoint as many assistants to such\nclerk as may be necessary for the transaction of the business of such\ncourt.\n
