§ 27-1911. Prohibition on land burial.\n 1. No person shall knowingly dispose of waste tires in a landfill\nexcept as provided in subdivision two of this section.\n 2. No moneys from the waste management and cleanup fund shall be used\nto dispose of waste tires in a landfill unless the department has\ndetermined that it is not feasible to convert the waste tires to a\nbeneficial use. Department-approved beneficial uses of\nscrap-tire-derived material for leachate collection systems, or gas\ncollection systems in the construction or operation of a landfill are\nnot considered disposal.\n
