§ 27-1018 — Beverage container assistance program

§ 27-1018. Beverage container assistance program.\n Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, within the\nlimits of appropriations therefor, the commissioner shall make state\nassistance payments to municipalities, businesses and not-for-profit\norganizations located in the state for the cost of reverse vending\nmachines located or to be located in the state. Such state assistance\npayments shall not exceed fifty percent of the costs of equipment,\nand/or the acquisition and/or rehabilitation of real property or\nstructures located or to be located in the state related to the\ncollecting, sorting, and packaging of empty beverage containers subject\nto the provisions of this title.
