§ 52:27BB-80 — Fiscal control officer

New Jersey·Title 52 STATE GOVERNMENT, DEPARTMENTS AND OFFICERS
The board may recommend to the local governing body that a fiscal control officer be appointed. If the board recommends the appointment of an officer, it shall submit to the governing body the names of not less than three persons who are found by the board to be qualified to perform the duties of officer for that municipality. The governing body shall, thereupon, appoint as officer one of the persons so named. The officer shall receive compensation for his services to be paid out of the funds of the municipality in an amount fixed by the governing body and approved by the board. He shall give bond for the faithful performance of his duties in an amount fixed by the governing body and approved by the board.
