§ 52:27BB-60 — Compliance with requirements of law
New Jersey·Title 52 STATE GOVERNMENT, DEPARTMENTS AND OFFICERS
The director may order the governing body or an officer of a municipality subject to this article to perform any duty prescribed by law whether or not a specific penalty or enforcement procedure is provided by such law. The orders may be enforced as authorized by law. Whenever any directive of the board or director has not been fully performed or carried out by the officials or employees of the municipality, the board may perform directly or cause to be performed by its agents including the director, in the name of the municipality, such act. The board may direct that any or all municipal officers and employees shall work under the supervision of the director to the extent that their duties and responsibilities relate to the fiscal affairs of the municipality.
