§ 45:5AAA-15 — Municipality powers, inspection, contractor's work, equipment, regulation of standards, manners in which work is done; violations, recover fines, penalties.

15.
a.P.L.2023, c.237 (C.45:5AAA-1 et al.) shall not deny to any municipality the power, pursuant to the "State Uniform Construction Code Act," P.L.1975, c.217 (C.52:27D-119 et seq.), to inspect a contractor's work or equipment, the work of a contractor who performs improvements to commercial property, or the power to regulate the standards and manners in which the work of the contractor shall be done.
b.A municipality shall have the authority to bring a proceeding in accordance with the "Penalty Enforcement Law of 1999," P.L.1999, c.274 (C.2A:58-10 et seq.), in the municipal court or in Superior Court to recover fines and penalties for violations of P.L.2023, c.237 (C.45:5AAA-1 et al.), committed by a contractor in connection with a home improvement or home elevation located within the
