8.There may be established within a school district under full State intervention an internal audit team which shall monitor the business functions of the district and report its findings to the commissioner and any district personnel deemed appropriate by the commissioner. The cost of providing this internal audit function shall be borne by the State. L.1987,c.399,s.8; amended 2005, c.235, s.15.
