18A:74-10. In order to participate in any apportionment made according to the provisions of this chapter, municipalities and counties shall comply with the regulations and standards which have been, or which may be, prescribed by law or recommended by the State Librarian for the operation and improvement of free public libraries to provide efficient and effective library services, to insure public benefit and convenience therefrom and to achieve the objects of this chapter. amended 2001, c.137, s.34; 2010, c.87, s.45.
