Whenever any local district has joined or shall join in a. Creating or enlarging an all purpose regional district, or b. The formation of a limited purpose regional district and thereafter has joined or shall join in the formation of another regional district for all other school purposes, all existing districts forming such regional district or any existing district so united with such last named regional district shall be dissolved when the board of education of such regional district shall take charge and control of the educational facilities of the schools of such existing district or districts and thereafter each municipality included within such regional district shall become a constituent district of such regional district.
