18A:13-13. The board shall appoint a secretary who may or may not be a member of the board, for the term of one year beginning on July 1, or January 15 in the case of a regional district in which the annual school election is in November, following his appointment but he shall continue to serve after the expiration of his term until his successor is appointed and qualified. In a district which does not have a treasurer of school moneys, the secretary shall give bond in such amount and with such surety as the board shall direct. The board shall be guided in its determination of the amount of coverage necessary by a schedule of minimum limits promulgated by the State Board of Education. amended 2010, c.39, s.6; 2011, c.202, s.11.
