Text
a.The department shall provide for the development and maintenance of trails established under this act and shall cooperate with and encourage other State agencies to operate, develop and maintain portions of such trails which are located in areas administered by such agencies.
b.When deemed to be in the public interest, the department may enter into written cooperative agreements with local governments, landowners, private organizations or individuals to operate, develop and maintain any portion of a recreation or scenic trail. L.1974, c. 159, s. 10, eff. Nov. 14, 1974.
