Text
The collector shall give notice of such assessments and of the time and place of payment thereof, and of the fact that a levy will be made upon the interest of any proprietor who does not pay his assessment accordingly for the amount thereof and incidental charges, by publishing such notice 3 weeks successively, the last publication to be 14 days at least before the day fixed for such payment, and by posting a like notice in the town or place wherein the lands lie (if within any settled town), 5 weeks at least before the day of payment, the expense of which shall be paid by the proprietors.
