Text

The governor shall designate the Department of Children, Youth, and Families as the sole agency responsible for supervising the preparation and administration of the state plan for juvenile justice required by the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974, as amended. The governor shall designate the Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee as the supervisory board for the Department of Children, Youth, and Families with respect to preparation and administration of the state plan and award of grants. The governor shall appoint members to the Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee in accordance with the membership requirements of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974, as amended. Section15.059, subdivision 3, governs the compensation of the members.
