The commissioner may accept federal money and gifts, donations, and bequests for the purposes of sections142A.41to142A.416and144.226, subdivision3. Money so received and proceeds from the sale of promotional items, minus sales promotional costs, must be deposited in the trust fund and must be made available to the commissioner.
