Section 16C. Temporary registration as a qualified podiatric physician may be granted to a visiting podiatric physician holding a license to practice in another state or territory or in the District of Columbia and having a temporary faculty appointment certified by the chairman of the board of registration in podiatry for purposes of podiatric medical education, such registration to terminate automatically upon termination of the faculty appointment and, in any event, at the end of eight months; to a podiatric physician holding a license to practice in another state or territory or in the District of Columbia to permit him to act as a substitute podiatric physician for a registered podiatric physician in the commonwealth, to be granted only upon written request of said registered podiatri
