(a)For the purposes of this section, the following words shall, unless the context clearly requires otherwise, have the following meanings:"Acupuncture detoxification specialist'', a qualified health care professional who is registered with the department to engage in the practice of auricular acupuncture detoxification pursuant to this section."Auricular acupuncture detoxification'', treatment by means of the subcutaneous insertion of sterile, disposable acupuncture needles in consistent, predetermined bilateral locations on the ear in accordance with the standardized auricular acupuncture detoxification protocol developed by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association."General supervision'', su
