Text

The sum assessed against the real estate shall be due within thirty days after the completion of the work and its acceptance by the governing authority, and, if not paid by that time, the governing authority may proceed by suit against the owners and the real estate to collect the delinquent assessment. The said municipality or village shall have a special privilege on the abutting property to secure the payment of the sum assessed against it, with six per cent interest per annum from the date due, until paid.
