§56. Contractual extension of servitude; requirements A landowner may extend a mineral servitude beyond the prescriptive date for a period less than that which would result from an interruption by an acknowledgment. The extension must meet all of the requirements for an acknowledgment and must specify the period for which the servitude is extended. Acts 1974, No. 50, §56, eff. Jan. 1, 1975.
