§ 34-7-6-1 — Emergency extension of time; applicability
Indiana·Title 34 CIVIL LAW AND PROCEDURE·Art. 7 GENERAL PROVISIONS·Ch. 6 Extensions of Time During Emergencies
This chapter applies to a proceeding:
(1)pending before a court, a body, or an official, that exists under
the constitution or laws of Indiana;
(2)in which certain limitations of time are or may be fixed by law
or rule for doing any acts in the proceeding; and
(3)if an emergency exists or arises by reason of:
(A)war;
(B)insurrection;
(C)pestilence; or
(D)act of God;
which prevents the performance of an act that is essential to
conserve substantial rights.
