Text

(a)Whenever real estate is sold on execution or by virtue of a decretal order at judicial sale, the owner of the certificate of purchase may, during the year of redemption, pay to the clerk of the court in whose office the certificate of purchase is required to be recorded the amount of taxes and assessments becoming due and payable against the real estate during the year of redemption.
(b)The clerk shall pay and discharge the taxes and assessments, and, upon the redemption of the real estate, the amount so paid shall be paid by the redemptioner and collected by the clerk as a part of the amount necessary to redeem the real estate from sale.
