§ 34-41-7-1 — Admissibility of certificate or copies

(a)The following documents are admissible in
evidence in all courts in Indiana in all cases in which, by law, duly
made and completed deeds and records are legal evidence:
(1)Certificates issued before March 7, 1903, by the general land
office and the United States Department of the Interior setting
forth the list of lands in Indiana without the strip of five (5) miles
on each side of the Wabash and Erie Canal, from Terre Haute to
Evansville, in the Vincennes land district, selected by the state of
Indiana, under the Act of Congress of March 3, 1845, 5 Stat. 731,
to aid the state of Indiana in extending and completing the canal,
on file on March 7, 1903, in the office of the auditor of state.
(2)All copies of the certificates described in subdivision (1), duly
certified to by the audito
