Orders of attachment may be issued to the sheriff of any other county, and several orders of attachment may, at the option of the plaintiff, be issued at the same time or in succession. Only the costs of orders of attachment that have been executed in whole or in part shall be recovered against the defendant unless otherwise directed by the court.
