Text
The governing and administrative body of the Authority shall be a Board of Commissioners consisting of 7 members to be appointed by the Mayor of the City of Peoria with the advice and consent of the City Council. Within 10 days of such appointments, the Mayor of the City of Peoria shall file with the City Clerk a certificate of appointment for each commissioner so appointed. Upon such filing, the persons so appointed shall constitute the Board of Commissioners of the Peoria Civic Center Authority and upon taking the oath of office as hereinafter provided shall be deemed to have qualified and to be empowered to exercise the powers and authority prescribed in this Article. The initial terms of such Commissioners shall be 2 terms for 5 years, 2 terms for 4 years and one term for each of 3 yea
