§ 15-6-444 — Correction of mistakes; payment of contractor
(a)The governing body, by any subsequent proceedings,
shall correct any mistakes, errors or irregularities in any of
the proceedings mentioned in this chapter.
(b)After any local improvements have been commenced, the
city or town engineer shall prepare an estimate of the work done
each month. The governing body shall order the recorder to draw
a negotiable warrant in favor of the contractor upon the special
assessment fund for an amount equal to ninety percent (90%) of
the monthly estimate. The remaining ten percent (10%) shall be
paid to the contractor upon completion and acceptance of the
work. The warrants, payable only out of the special assessment
fund, shall bear interest at the rate allowed on public warrants
pursuant to W.S. 9-4-106.
