Text
(a)There is established an account to be known as the
crime victims' compensation account. The account is under the
administration and control of the division for purposes of
providing compensation or other benefits to crime victims and
for purposes of implementing this act. The account shall consist
of all monies the division receives or collects from any source
and all monies shall be paid to the state treasurer for deposit
in the account. The division may accept, and shall deposit to
the account, any gifts, contributions, donations, grants or
federal funds specifically given to the division for the benefit
of victims of crime.
(b)The monies within the account may be withdrawn
therefrom by vouchers signed by the director of the division or
his designee. The division shall keep detailed
